Martyn Bould MBE

Martyn Bould MBE - Chairman

Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), MAPM, MCIArb

Martyn Bould has extensive experience in all aspects of development and construction advice as well as appraisals, claims consulting, quantity surveying, cost and risk control and management, the last fifty years within the Caribbean region.

Martyn is Chairman of Bould Consulting Limited, operating throughout the Caribbean, with responsibility for the delivery of key projects with practical expertise in Development Project Management of large, fast track mixed use developments; specialty being the analysis and management of risk in construction projects in the Caribbean and skilled in strategic problem solving of complex projects.

Martyn is President of several property development and holding companies having developed for his own account office buildings, luxury residential condominiums, houses, warehousing, shopping centres and sports clubs. He is an Arbitrator, Mediator and Expert Witness for and Lecturer on, Construction Claims both large and small throughout the Region.

Significant recent instructions include acting as Project Monitor for the US$ 3.4b Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, and Project Director on the Viceroy Casi Cielo resort in Bocas del Toro, Panama and the Four Seasons Tropicalia Resort in Miches, Dominican Republic, numerous rebuild projects following hurricanes Irma & Maria in the Eastern Caribbean.

Martyn was appointed a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth in 2012.

Martyn successfully summited Mt Kilimanjaro in August 2019 raising funds for the Red Cross and awareness of their hurricane preparedness programme.

Chris has recently moved to the Caribbean from South Yorkshire and brings with him experience in valuation, property management and landlord and tenant.

Prior to this Chris worked in Birmingham for DTZ where he managed property portfolios for large public sector clients including the Home Office, as well as spending time in Cheltenham working with the Rating Team.

In his spare time Chris enjoys keeping fit either on the beach or in the gym and plans to spend time exploring the Caribbean and Central/South America.

Speaks frequently to owners, contractors, speciality subcontractors, public building officials, suppliers, design professionals, insurers, and sureties on such topics as design-build procurement, construction risk management, negotiating construction contracts, construction claims and claims prevention, design liability, and construction insurance issues.

Bernadine has worked in office management for over 15 years and provides daily supervision and assistance to the administrative and professional staff and manages the company's HR and financial management procedures.


Before moving to the Cayman Islands Bernadine worked in London for Shell International as their Office and Events Manager.
