BCL chairman Martyn Bould attended Caribbean Council’s reception held at the House of Lords in London on 3rd May 2023 with the Hon Philip Davis KC MP, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, as guest of honour.
Lord Bruce, Chairman of the Caribbean Council, opened the proceedings noting the Council’s role in networking interested parties to work towards exchange of skills and information, and in particular the extensive opportunities represented by the business opportunities and exchange between UK and the Bahamas.
Prime Minister Davis, most eloquently noted both the opportunities in the Bahamas and in particular the Blue Economy for carbon credits.
A visit to Bahamas will take place in October 2023 preceded by a virtual business to business “speed dating” introduction in July.
On 4th May 2025 an in detail opportunity meeting took place at the Reform Club in London to provide further one on one opportunities to discuss details
The reception enabled great networking opportunities with both business, tourism and ambassadors from Caribbean countries as well as leading business and professionals discussing forward plans.
