So far 2022 has been a successful and exciting year for Bould Consulting Limited and this success is in part due to the Bould Team having a thorough grasp of global climate change initiatives and challenges facing the property market both across the Cayman Islands and wider Caribbean. In view of this, Bould Consulting Limited were well represented at the 5th Caribbean Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Property & Construction Conference held at the Ritz Hotel, Grand Cayman, on 29th April 2022.
The main theme of the conference was ‘Building a sustainable and climate resilient future for the Cayman Islands. A variety of other topics were also covered, some in the context of the post-COVID19 economic outlook and other important topics relating to the local real estate market outlook, and the current supply chain issues affecting the cost of construction materials.
Conference speakers acknowledged that the world faces several challenges that will impact the global economy, but at the same time noted that the Cayman Islands residential demand remains strong and although caution should be exercised, Cayman is well positioned to deal with future changes in market conditions.
Given the COVID restrictions we endured, over the last 2 years, the conference was well supported, with over 250 attendees, including representatives from other Caribbean Islands.
As part of our continued commitment to support staff in getting involved in climate change initiatives, the Bould Team actively participated as delegates throughout the day on the important climate change issues facing the sector.
