In line with the theme of the RICS/IPTI 8th Annual Caribbean Valuation & Construction Conference of “Innovations, Challenges and Experience Sharing” BCL’s Chairman. Martyn Bould, was Part of a 3 person panel also including Mick Stiksma of CRE Valuation Services and Egbert Louis of ECMC Ltd St Lucia presenting
“CONSTRUCTION Risks in the Procurement Process in the Caribbean”
Mick and Martyn presented jointly highlighting the analysis of Risk in the development and construction areas and how such analysis benefited the choice and use of alternative procurement routes during the development process.
Martyn provided many real life experiences from the last 50 years of service provision in the Caribbean detailing challenges and experience sharing and how these led to innovations that can be implemented in current projects to deliver best in class service.
Egbert followed with a an inciteful presentation on the Project Monitoring role analyzing from the initial audit report through monitoring during construction and through to completion and operation.
