Following Hurricane Irma in 2017 the hotel resort island sustained significant damage. The project was to rebuild Guana Island Resort which included 11 Villas, Club house and restaurant, Beach bar and Staff accommodation to its pre hurricane condition.
Additional works were included on subsequent stages including upgrade to withstand Category 5 Hurricane winds.
Bould Consulting Limited were working for the Main contractor as Project Manager, Quantity surveyor and provide Site supervision for the labour.
We provided construction estimates, contract advice, and procurement of subcontractors. On site management coordination of labour, logistics and materials.
Lack of design information due to being a hurricane rebuild / restoration, lack of resources both materials and man power and towards the latter end managing the number of change orders and moving completion date due to the hotel operating.
Client benefited from Bould Consulting Limited knowledge in handling material and labour logistics in a post-hurricane situation and was able to assist mobilizing staff and materials quickly on island.
Bould Consulting Limited assisted the Client in obtaining a favorable outcome in a Claim for Extension of Time and Additional Scope.
