Bould Consulting Limited were retained as the Prime Consultant to assemble a specialist team to prepare an Outline Business Case for the Ministry of Education, Employment and Gender Affairs to invest approximately $11.5 million to construct a purposed facility for the provision of training and therapeutic services for Adults with Disabilities.
The specialist team combined key local knowledge with regional and international expertise who collectively and individually, bring lessons learnt from our diverse range of experience working with care facilities, owner, operators and end-users, from logistics and management to defining client requirements needs, to deliver a fully responsive comprehensive solution to the needs identified in the project brief
The Outline Business Case demonstrated how value for money can be achieved from the procurement of the Preferred Option; sets out the likely contractual arrangements; demonstrates its affordability; details the procurement strategy; and examines the management arrangements for successful delivery of the project.
The purpose of the new facility is to provide Day Care for Adults with Learning Difficulties and in some cases mobility issues between the ages of 18 and 65 on Grand Cayman. The New Centre will also provide management and support to those Adults who are on Vocational programmes or seeking a more independent life.
To be able to accommodate and analyze the needs and requirements of Cayman’s adult community with disabilities and to develop a business case of a first-of-its-kind facility and to justify its construction.
